As the Viewture sales team decompresses from Cannes Lions 2025,we've taken a moment to reflect on what can only be described as a whirlwind of inspiration, insightful conversations, connections, and a lot of walking!
We were on the ground for the full week, and it’s safe to say we’re very glad we didn’t miss it. From morning panels to evening beach mixers, Cannes Lions truly runs 24/7, and you have to anticipate the madness that comes with it.
Here’s our takeaways:
1. Schedule meetings at one base location
Sounds simple, but this is key. The heat is no joke, and sprinting between beach clubs, rooftop suites, and cafés across the Croisette is a quick route to burn-out. Cluster your catch-ups. Your future self will thank you! Ultimately, be smart with your time and try to keep everything localised.
2. Wear Comfortable Shoes
You’ll be doing thousands of steps a day without even realising it. Stay clear of the uncomfortable option as by day three, you’ll be wishing you wore a comfy shoe. It’s hard to choose practicality over style on the south coast of France but you’ll be grateful!
3. Talk to everyone
Everyone’s there to connect. Whether it’s someone you’ve followed online or someone you just met in a queue at an activation, strike up aconversation. Some of the best partnerships start at the most unexpected events or situations. Be confident and bold.
4. The creator’s presence is real
Some of the world’s top creators were not just attending but actively shaping the conversation. From stage appearances to branded activations, creators were at the centre of the action. International appearances from talent like Alix Earle, Ryan Reynolds, Alex Cooper etc. If you’re in the business of creators and content, this proves Cannes Lions is essential.
5. Embrace the FOMO
You will miss lots of things you set out to attend. Easier said than done – but don’t stress, some of the most memorable moments happen whenyou least expect them. A spontaneous invite, a surprise performance, or an unexpected meeting can turn into the highlight of your week, so allow some wiggle room to change your plans. You likely missed a few important events during the planning phase — the sheer volume of options can be overwhelming.
Cannes 2026, we’ll see you there👋
